They are very pretty birds, but this one would not allow me to be real close. I guess I'm going to have to get a better camera and a long distance lens if I'm to continue birding.

Beautiful Jays but it sure doesn't hang around long enough for a really good shot. I should try some suet cake and see if it will hang for a bit.

Just as the Canadian Jays or Camp Robbers of Alaska these southern cousins are curious as all get out. They are as noisy or more so than the jays of Alaska. But strikingly beautiful in their blue black and white colorations.

We moved 4300 miles north to escape snow and cold only to have it snow where. First time it's snow here in 83 years on Christmas day. I think it followed us all the way from Alaska.

Old Jay stopped by for a bite and we were discussing the politicians in Juneau.  He asked, me do you think those crooks down there deserve the raise they just let pass into law being they are so busy stealing the public blind.   I had to agree, they are the biggest Camp Robbers in the woods.
