Here is a few photographs of our trip out: First one, inscription on the Tomb of my Great Uncle Tom Gilcrease, the next is of our Tribal Hall, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. This next shot is of the Distric Court Tribal Judge Mr. Moore, who gave us a top rate tour and showed us many things about the building. Last but not lease, is the amount of fresh mellons found throughout this region. I ate well.
Melons -- I remember that from my visit to Texas. Miles of fields full of melons. It was a site to see!

ReplyDeleteI read the story on the stone, of the 'exile' of the tribe. Hard to understand human justifications dor such things in history, yet harder to justify what is being justified in Palestine (or lebanon) today. It seems to be the nature of things among humans that Might is Right even when it is wrong. Anyway nice to see you back at the Alaskan squirrel post.
