2007 Powwow

I'm sure everyone has been wondering where I've been. I've been at our local powwow. I was chosen this year to be the MC of our event. It's always special but to be the MC makes it even more special to me. Thanks to the Midnight Sun Intertribal Powwow First Council for this honor. Here is a picture of the lodge after we got it set up the day before the event.

4th of July

I was taking pictures downtown on the 4th of July for the Native Veterans Association I belong to and of some of our participants in the parade. The Soldiers in front of the Striker have recently return from Iraq.

RIP little Girl

We lost the little female that was born this spring out on the road I'm sorry to say. Here is the last couple of photographs I got of her. It really saddens me, I miss her antics in the yard and her voice when I walk out to the green house where she had taken up residence. If I could stop them from crossing the road I would.

Sixty Minutes had an article on Silhouette today, (Fathers Day) so I thought I would post this one.

Red Squirrel

This old boy has taken Fatboy's place. Fatboy was a squirrel who I named that and he owned the west side of the lot. He went missing last year but has left a legacy. This fellow has taken his place, and is almost as chunky as he was.

I must be feeding them to well. lol

Bud Worm Infestation

This is the 3 year in a row that the Spruce Bud Worm Infestation has attacked my Spruce Trees, I'm afraid it's to late for most of them. They are all starting to die. I'll show you a picture of the infestation and they I'll get another of one of the beautiful spruces that has died because of it and post it on another post.

Red Squirrel

This little female born this spring here at the permafrost ranch is so pretty. She's still very spooky of me taking her picture. If she sees me in the window, she leaves right away.

It's funny but sometimes I can over correct an image. Photoshopping so to say. What's your thoughts on this image?

My Great Grand Parents Tombstone in Oklahoma

My Aunt knows how much I love to research our family history, and she recently sent me to me great old family photos. I've never seen these, but I have seen the actual monument and head stones in Tulsa up at the Museum. The tree monument was purchased by my great uncle for my great grandmother.
